The Vunaniu Boardriders Club got a very special opportunity today to have a specialised training program with the WSL (World Surfing League) physiotherapist on tour Dr Chris Prosser… he offered our team (through Namotu Island, BIG thanks to Mandy O’Conner) the opportunity to come to the island and work one on one with him to fine tune and analyse some of their balance, co ordination and stance skills.

Our thanks to Matanivusi Resort for helping get the kids up to Rendesvous Surf Camp, to Rendesvous Surf Camp for the use of the boat, and thanks to Gun and Lesi Navuwai from Vunaniu Boardriders for getting Maria, Manu, Ulai, Tukai, Tuba, and Samu out to meet their heros!  Thank you National Head Coach – Ian ‘Porto’ Portingale for also taking the time.

Thanks Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Bede Durbridge and Matt Wilkinson, Adriano de Souza, and Connor O’Leary for your time with the club, and Rod Brooks for hooking all the groms up with the WSL and Outerknown contest gear…….. they’ve gone back to the Coral Coast very very happy groms!
