The newly formed Chapter, the Coral Coast Boardriders hosted the Fiji Surfing Association’s Annual General Meeting at The Beachouse Resort on March 8, 2014. The newly elected officers are President – Isei Tokovou; John Philp – Vice President. Richard Clemo – Treasurer. Ed Lovell – Secretary. An executive Committee was nominated comprising 12 members drawn from the FSA executive and the Chapters. Highlights of the meeting involved Constitutional review; the year’s events and competition calendar which included the Melanesian Cup International Competition in Samoa in October. Capacity building is an ongoing priority which involves aquatic education and training in water safety skills.
The Fiji Surfing Association is excited about this coming year and looks forward to seeing new and old members taking on lead roles and moving the Association forward.
