Day Two. Smaller but better formed waves greeted competitors on day two of the contest period. Blue skies and glassy conditions made the call decision easy for Contest Director Matt Wilson.

In the first heat of the day local Fijian wildcard hero – Isei Tokovou went down fighting to King Kelly Slater, pulling into the biggest barrel of the heat however not making it out, and having to settle for scores in the 2′s and 3′s against Slater’s polished 8.67 and 7.23.

The highest score of the day went to young Australian Julian Wilson 9.47 and a 9.1 for a total of 18.47. Also the events first perfect 10 from Brazilian Gabriel Medina.
